2008年7月6日 · We run Kobelco stainless flux core wire at work and it welds awesome. We use regular 75/25 gas and the welds come out flat and smooth, the slag just peels off. The one thing I have noticed is Kobelco stainless wire must be run at 27-29 volts, no matter the wire speed (even says this in operating characteristics on their web site).

2014年1月7日 · I have some experience welding Stainless steel tubing with success. I am not just making a couple brackets for some car seats. The steel is brand new, no rust and 1/8" thick. I want to use some flux core wire (ran out of shielding gas for welding stainless) can I just re spool the wire and start welding ? Do I need to "Switch the polarity?"

2010年9月26日 · Poor welding like using the wrong filler (308 filler is the 'standard' for welding 304 stainless) or the wrong/poor shielding gas or a poor design or other poor workmanship would all cause possible problems that could have caused failure(s). Stainless steel sheetmetal thicknesses should be able to be welded OK with 0.030 wire and tri-mix.
