Leaves come in so many different shapes and sizes. These free motion ones are easy as and make a great all over edge to edge quilting design. Once again I have added meandering or stippling between the leaves to connect the dots or better yet leaves. Start out by making a single stitch line which will be the stem and middle vein.

FMQ Leaf Motif It's been a long time since I practiced FMQuilting. I have a top pinned and ready to attack, so I decided to practice using the same thread I hope to use on that top.

Today I’m been trying to quilt vein lines in each of my maple leaf blocks, which just happens to be my UFO number 3. They are going OK, but are not perfect, by any means. I’ve a few more leaves to work on, and I’ll hopefully finish them off tomorrow.
