Jul 17, 2017 · The Fn key is controlled by computer maker's utilities [it is not part of Windows]. Check the computer manual, HP support site & HP user forums for methods for controlling the Fn key. You might find the utility identified within the HP group of the Start menu. There might also be a setting for it in the BIOS.

Aug 3, 2022 · Fireberd and good old Speedstep - thank you both. I will try Peripheral Manager this weekend if Fn + Esc and Fn + Caps Lock don't work and if there is no BIOS setting. But I'm a bit pessimistic because the Dell literature on Peripheral Manager - at least what I saw online - doesn't seem to address the Fn Lock issue.
