Gotz is reclusive, although you can find Harris visiting him often. Gotz can upgrade your house and farm buildings.

Benefits of expanding your house include special items that only appear on the Shopping Channel once your house is a certain size, and the second house expansion is a requirement for marriage, if you hope to marry a girl in the game.
