2017年4月23日 · On this backpacking trip, take in stunning alpine peaks including nearby Del Campo Peak and Gothic Peak, and of course, Foggy Lake. Drive the Mountain Loop Highway to Barlow Pass and park at the pass using your Northwest Forest Pass.

The trail ends at 19.7-acre Foggy Lake where mountaineers gain access to climb Del Campo and Gothic Peaks. The lake is 35-feet deep, barren of fish and often frozen all year long. Before reaching Gothic Basin the trail becomes more of a rock scramble as you enter the Morning Star Natural Resources Conservation Area.
