Fokker matched this engine to a production D-21 airframe, producing the prototype for the Fokker D-22. The new aircraft was very similar to the D-21, having the same fixed undercariage. The more powerful engine gave the D-22 an excellent performance and the D-22 served for many years in the Dutch air force helping maintain the Dutch neutrality.

The Fokker D.XXI fighter was designed in 1935 by Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker in response to requirements laid out by the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force (Militaire Luchtvaart van het Koninklijk Nederlands-Indisch Leger, ML-KNIL).

In 1988, Fokker, in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Air Force, built a beautiful D.XXI replica, which can be admired in the NMM in Soesterberg. The Fokker D.XXIII was a Dutch single-seat fighter designed and built by Fokker. Only one aircraft was flown before the country was invaded by the Germans in May 1940. [1]

Designed by a team led by Dr-Ir Erich Schatzki and retaining traditional Fokker-type mixed construction, the D XXI was conceived in answer to a specification formulated by the KNIL (Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger), the aviation element of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army, and was flown as a prototype on 27 February 1936.

2011年6月17日 · Fokker offered two designs: the D.XIX, which was developed from the Fokker D.XVII, and new design, no 112 with a single low wing. Both were to be equipped with the Rolls Royce Kestrel IV. Design 112 could also be equipped with a radial engine.
