2018年11月29日 · My wife had a Foley Bulb put in when she was dilated 2cm. They put it in and it fell out like 3 seconds later. They were like, "Either A-we didn't put it in far enough, and we'll have to place it back in; or B-it dilated you to 3cm immediately because your cervix is so soft." They reached in, and it was B. So they didn't need to re-place it.

2020年12月23日 · This involved several rounds of misoprostol then the insertion of a foley bulb while getting started on Pitocin. My midwife made it sound like doing both at the same time, was the best option since the foley bulb can take up to 12 hours. I agreed and we began. The insertion of the foley bulb was excruciatingly painful.

2022年9月27日 · Contractions started straight away after that. I was then sent home and was called back after 12 hrs to come back to the hospital. From then, they started Pitocin. My cervix was checked every hour. I was at 3cm when I came back to the hospital. After about 3 hrs, when the doc was about to check.my cervix, foley bulb came out and it was painful!

2022年8月25日 · Foley bulb hurt me less than my cervical checks. OB put it in and my cervix dilated instantly to 3 cm and it popped out lol. It sounds scary but it actually isn’t that bad for a lot of women but ymmv

2022年5月6日 · My induction used a foley bulb, I started at 2cm. They inserted the bulb and a teeny little pill that helps soften the cervix. The bulb going in wasn’t any worse than a cervical exam, and imo better than a pap. They came and tugged on it like twice and then it popped out (just over 4 cm). I think it took about 2 hours?

2022年3月8日 · Can I refuse a foley bulb? I’m 35 weeks and my doctor has just let me know I have a few risk factors being monitored that may result in an early induction. I of course don’t know how things are going to play out for sure but I’ve already started obsessing about one thing — and that is the use of a foley bulb during induction.

Same with foley bulbs- placing them in the hospital and then sending folks home to return back in 12 hours. So it’s becoming more popular in the hospital birth crowd. Is your midwife planning on placing a foley bulb- ask her what other people’s experience has been like.

2020年10月26日 · After a couple of membrane sweeps my midwives decided it was time for the foley bulb. I don’t even remember insertion but the overall experience was totally fine! Mine fell out about 24 hours later. Didn’t hurt at all coming out, kind of a woosh sensation and it plopped out into the toilet 😂 about the size of a large egg.
