Ford Backhoe Bucket Teeth---need to remove and replace??
2009年7月30日 · Looks like a bolt goes down thru to hold them on? It's the factory issue bucket on a 555D model. 18 inch with 3 teeth. I still have the original teeth. I priced at NH dealer and seems like $55 per tooth is on high side. Does anyone have a good place to order replacements? Thanks for info. LB

2015年6月18日 · Hi folks. I'm not much of an operator. I have a Ford 555 with an 18" and a 24" bucket. Have you ever heard of an add-on that covers the teeth, making for a smooth or flat scraper? Without having to take the teeth off (i.e. it just bolts or otherwise just goes on over the teeth)? If so, how about one that sticks out a foot or so on each side?

2021年10月23日 · I believe the 230 style are standard equipment on John Deere, Case & Ford backhoes. I have had 5 backhoes, 6 buckets with them. I buy from my Case dealer, but Amazon prices seem good. Outboard teeth are easy to install & remove, but inner teeth are a challenge.

2008年1月19日 · Ford 555D Photo of the former city owned Ford 555D I got from Chicago Parks Dept. Was told by park dept head man that those are the original factory teeth on the backhoe bucket. I'm hoping for a long and productive life. I think I got ahold of it just at the end of the life of the rod seals. I been having those start to leak.

2010年3月10日 · Then there were two tabs of half inch plate welded to the top of the cutting edge that extended into the bucket. These tabs bolted through the bucket floor effectively locking the cutting edge to the tops of the teeth. It took all of two minutes to put on or take back off and it was sturdy enough to dig with in loamy soil.

2023年1月12日 · It is a good thing you don't plan on using that bucket much. The cutting edge should have been replaced a long time ago. The wear left on the hand side in the photo is the worst I have ever seen. I wonder if the loader frame is bent and caused it to wear like that. The bolt holes in the cutting edge are for bolt-on shanks for teeth.

2016年2月27日 · Thumb itself is cut from 1/2x4" plate IIRC with some made up teeth on there. Should be heavier, I managed to bend it a bit in use. Probably 3/4x5" or so, maybe larger depending on the size of hoe. My 3500 is a 12' and has both a smaller bucket and less power than most common hoes these days.
