The Ford Mustang GT3 car is powered by a 5.4-litre naturally aspirated Ford Coyote-based V8 which was developed by Ford Performance and their long-term partner in the World Rally Championship M-Sport. For better weight distribution they moved the 6-speed Xtrac racing transaxle with ESA shift to the rear axle.

From its aerodynamically optimized shape to its multifunctional buttresses to its extraordinarily powerful 3.5L EcoBoost ® V6 engine, everything about the Ford GT is designed to deliver pure performance. The teardrop shape of the Ford GT is the result of extensive work in the wind tunnel.

Created for GT3 racing by Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Performance, the Ford Mustang GT3 race car and bespoke features such as custom short-long arm suspension, Multimatic DSSV dampers, a rear-mounted transaxle 6-speed gearbox, carbon fiber body panels, and a specialized aero package tailored to GT3 standards.
