The Ford GT40 is a high-performance mid-engined racing car originally designed and built for and by the Ford Motor Company to compete in 1960s European endurance racing. Its specific impetus was to best Scuderia Ferrari, which had won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans race for six years running from 1960 to 1965.

2019年1月10日 · Chassis GT 101 was the first Ford GT40 manufactured and one of twelve prototypes built. Although the GT40 project got off to a difficult start, the car went on to win the Le Mans 24 Hours on four consecutive occasions between 1966 and 1969.

The monocoque tub is assembled in a top panel that includes the interior floor, and a lower panel. This would be a good time to paint the monocoque chassis pieces before assembling the suspension parts.

The TSC GT40 is based on a strong, light, fully triangulated spaceframe chassis. Every chassis frame is supplied complete with all brackets and mountings welded in the correct position to ease assembly. No welding is required by the builder. Chassis frames are available in both right and left hand drive versions.
