2005年9月1日 · John, if your into hot roding buy all the ford rear ends you can find of the 8"/9" variety at about 49" to 52" backing plate to plate. Great for street rods. I have a 28 Buick street rod with a ford 8" posi track with a 337 ratio, I already bent the rear 4 bar and crashed the front motor mount. It jumps off the line and puts a smile on your face.

2016年9月16日 · The following colors were available from Studebaker for trucks for 49 : Melody blue, Iroquis blue. Cuban tan, Chrome yellow, Clover green, & Cherokee red. The color you describe is Iroquis blue I believe. The original Stude color code was #8179. It has been reproduced by Ditzler PPG as code # 10455.

I'm not sure how many engine & component painting practices were carried over to 1961 from '59-'60, but in 1996 when I first started working on the '59-'60 engine and component colors, I referred to the Aug. 1990 Fred Fox article for some of it, like the oil pan which could be silver, or black.

2022年12月8日 · It was built with the Ford 226 Flathead IL6 and now with the 390 in it (with the aluminum intake manifold) it's still a little bit heavier nose wise than stock - maybe by 100 pounds or less. All the springs and suspension were custom made for the truck, I installed front power discs, but still have the stock front axle and steering in it.

2008年3月16日 · My car is blue so they interior and exterior both match. The interior colors back then were far more extensive than todays choice of gray or tan. A neutral color like white could have every interior color under the sun available (blue, black, green, red, etc). A blue or red car will obviously be a little more limited.

2008年9月9日 · Most any Studebaker has the name of the colors on a tag glued to the bottom of the glove box. these names cross reference to paint manufacturers charts. Most of these are obsolete. The best way is to find a sample of the original paint on your car on an hidden panel that was not exposed to light and take it to a paint store and they can match it.
