2023年3月28日 · I'm focused on the mid (e.g., Tacoma, Ridgeline, Frontier, Colorado, etc) to compact (i e., Santa Cruz and Maverick) sized trucks. A Tacoma hybrid seems to be the most likely to appear in the near term, but obviously the internet isn't as accurate as some believe!

2024年12月3日 · To me a subcompact SUV or compact car with some 150hp base engine and 30 inches or less of rear legroom (or SUV that gives up any storage space behind the rear seats for legroom) is what feels cheap. You can add leather power seats and 18 inch rims and such, but a lawnmower engine and seats for kids only is what screams cheap to me.

If the Maverick isn’t quite a compact-truck throwback in terms of dimensions, it certainly is on the scales. At a claimed 3731 pounds for a 2.0-liter AWD EcoBoost model, the Maverick is about 700 pounds lighter than a crew-cab 4x4 Ranger.

2024年3月31日 · Was the 2011 Ford Ranger not a compact? The Maverick is 4 inches shorter than the extended cab old Ranger, albeit a bit wider. Back in 1983 the original Motorweek review for the Ranger called it a midsize truck which was puzzling to me until they parked it between an F150 and a Courier.

2023年12月23日 · The Compact floor jack I was using is TOO SHORT.. My MAV is a Stock XL Eco. I needed 15" of height to remove the Front Tires and 14" of height for the Rear Tires. The jack only reaches 14 inches... This is the first time, I have had to "Raise" the truck. I ended up using Factory "Sissor" jack, which is beefer then I had assumed.
