2021年11月2日 · I own a BMW 320d E90 M47 Automatic from 2006. The car has a bigger consumption than others. On the highway, it says 5L/100Km but the real consumption is 7.7L/100Km and in the city it says 12.5L/100Km but the real consumption is 15.5L/100Km. The car has no errors. But I did a little research on what could cause a bigger consumption.

2019年8月11日 · Sounds like a faulty intake throttle valve. It should be right before the EGR introduced exhaust gas back into the intake. It is mainly used to create a vacuum in the system to suck exhaust gas into the intake at low pressures. Probably just gummed up with soot. You might want to try and clean it before replacing it.

2023年7月12日 · Blue smoke is an indication of oil in the combustion chamber. It can seep in through leaky valve seals most notably after the car has been standing for a while. Clogged or worn oil rings is another one although that's more likely to be noticeable theroughout the drive.
