Four-cross (4X), also called mountain-cross, not to be confused with fourcross, is a relatively new style of mountain bike racing where four bikers race downhill on a prepared, BMX-like track, simply trying to get down first.

Fourcross is a form of four-wheeled downhill mountain biking, which has the benefit of being suitable for disabled riders. It is a gravity sport, there's no propulsion. The rider has to actively use their body to corner bends and to prepare for jumps, through leaning their upper body and pumping their chair. [1]

Fourcross (také Four Cross, Biker Cross, 4X, Bicycle Four Cross, Bicycle Super Cross) je jedna z novějších cyklistických disciplín. Tratě jsou obvykle dlouhé 150 až 600 metrů a jsou podobné jako tratě pro klasické BMX neboli takzvané bikrosové tratě, ale vedou pouze z kopce. Zahrnují klopené zatáčky, skoky, boule ad.

The race format consists of multiple rounds, starting with qualifying heats. The top riders from each heat advance to the next round until the final race determines the winner.
