FoxM1-dependent and fatty acid oxidation-mediated ROS
CSCs with increased OXPHOS levels maintained low ROS levels by coupling FoxM1-dependent Prx3 expression and fatty acid oxidation-mediated NADPH regeneration. Thus, interventions targeting ROS homeostasis in CSCs may be a useful strategy for targeting this drug-resistant tumor cell subpopulation.
FOXM1-Mediated Regulation of Reactive Oxygen Species and ...
2023年5月1日 · Effects of FOXM1 expression status on ROS regulation in OSCC cell lines. Representative images and quantitative analysis of the immunofluorescence of ROS/SOD under FOXM1 knockdown or overexpressing conditions after exposure to 6-Gy X-ray IR.
FoxM1-dependent and fatty acid oxidation-mediated ROS modulation …
2020年9月1日 · This study showed that CSCs exhibit increased OXPHOS and paradoxically maintain a low level of ROS, through coupling of FoxM1-dependent Prx3 expression and FAO-mediated NADPH regeneration. Thus, a mitochondrial ROS homeostasis-targeted approach may be an effective strategy for controlling cancers that are refractory to conventional chemotherapy.
NOX4-derived ROS-induced overexpression of FOXM1 regulates …
Western blot analysis showed that increased ROS levels can activate FOXM1 expression and that inhibiting ROS generation significantly reduced the expression of FOXM1. These findings provide new insight and evidence that the NOX4/ROS pathway is involved in the upregulation of FOXM1 expression in glioblastoma cells.
FOXM1 maintains fatty acid homoeostasis through the SET7
2023年8月24日 · FOXM1 promotes the synthesis of FAs by regulating the expression of relevant genes at the transcriptional level. Our study suggests that targeting of FOXM1 combined with inhibition of FA...
FOXM1: Functional Roles of FOXM1 in Non-Malignant Diseases
It was found that FOXM1 regulates reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in neutrophils, and the inhibition of FOXM1 leads to an increase in ROS, resulting in the formation of DFU. One study showed that TREM1 promotes the recruitment of FOXM1-positive neutrophils, reverses DFU, and promotes wound healing [ 110 ] ( Figure 3 ).
FOXM1 affects oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, and the …
2024年11月1日 · To investigate the effects of FOXM1 on oxidative stress and mitochondrial function during oocyte aging, we assessed the levels of ROS, GSH, CAT, SOD, T-AOC, and ATP after inhibition of FOXM1. Compared with MII oocytes, aging oocytes exhibited significantly increased ROS levels and significantly decreased levels of GSH, CAT, SOD, T-AOC, and ATP ...
FOXM1-mediated activation of phospholipase D1 promotes lipid …
2022年2月1日 · Mechanistically, the enzyme phospholipase D1 (PLD1) was identified as a potential effector target of FOXM1. PLD1 promoted LD accumulation, which reduced the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and maintained endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis in resistant cells with the treatment of paclitaxel.
MKL1 fuels ROS-induced proliferation of vascular smooth muscle …
Over-expression of a constitutively active MKL1 in vascular smooth muscle cells enhanced proliferation in a ROS-dependent manner. On the contrary, MKL1 depletion or inhibition attenuated VSMC proliferation. PCR array based screening identified forkhead box protein M1 (FOXM1) as a direct target for MKL1.
NOX4-derived ROS-induced overexpression of FOXM1 regulates …
2021年11月5日 · Our data demonstrated that overexpression of NOX4, a producer of mitochondrial ROS that stabilizes HIF-1α, induced aerobic glycolysis by regulating FOXM1 expression. Taken together, these findings indicate that targeting NOX4-FOXM1 signaling may represent a novel therapeutic strategy for the treatment of glioblastoma.
