Jul 27, 2015 · The big difference is the filter material. The Fram is a paper, and the K+N is a synthetic media. The media they use in the champion labs premium filters (branded as K+N, Royal Purple, Mobile One among many others) filters finer particles, and doesn't degrade as much as the HP1 filters.
