In summer and autumn 1983 Frida worked as an actress during filming of an episode film "Jokerfejs" (The Joker face) co-written by Swedish comedian Magnus Härenstam. The film's length was 61 minutes and it contained 12 funny stories/sketches. "Jokerfejs" had its premiere in Stockholm on February 10th 1984.

Jokerfejs - Härenstams Blandning = Joker Face - Härenstam's Mixture Frida showed a great flair for comedy in a small role in this one-hour comedy thriller. Directed by Peter Wester, it consisted of five separate sketches each with a different plot. This was her second small film role in summer 1983 after her part as Belle in ABBACaDAbRa.

Shine is the fourth studio album by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and her second international solo album as Frida. Released in September 1984, it marks her last studio album in the English language to date.
