Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime. Our headquarters is located in the capital of Poland, Warsaw, in a Class-A office complex that opened in January 2015.

Frontex is happy to cooperate with researchers and students and we will do utmost to accommodate their needs. We are also able to host groups of students and researchers in our Warsaw headquarters. However, in view of the very high number of requests, we would like to ask you to send your enquiries at least three weeks in advance.

Since in principle people can move within the Schengen area without border controls, comprehensive and coordinated control of the external border is important.
