Hint, that hood sticker timing is different in different countries, our G16B uses 5°BTDC (fed) and 8°BTDC in CALIFORNIA. So why not read your hood sticker first? Loosen the distributor base bolt and set the timing to the left of 0, advanced per YOUR sticker spec.

2012年6月19日 · Timing mark is on the pulley at front of motor. when that is at o or tdc, rotor button should point at the no 4 lead on dizzy. it will ne 180 out, and won't run. Just point rotor to opposite if that happens. as both valvces be shut.

2024年1月4日 · You need to set the cam timing (mechanical engine) with #4 at TDC (c), later you will set the ignition to #1 TDC (c). You are presently set at 180*, or firing on the exhaust strokes.. Although it may not make sense, it is futile to try and re-invent the wheel..

2015年7月16日 · The "E" mark is at 12pm with the crank at TDC. click to see on cam photo. Cam shaft key dowel pin down. E mark UP is the rule G16B, for setting the tension correctly. Ignore all "I" marks.

2019年2月27日 · Its pretty detailed with pics in my thread. The cam can be used, check the amount of lugs on the trigger wheel/ring at the end. I swapped mine over from the 1,3 cam. Its all good if you set both engines at TDC and mark the ring. I have also done this before with putting the 1,3 cam in the g16 head, no problem

2009年11月18日 · Checked #4 is at TDC before tightning and camshaft in place. Aligned check marks on camshaft to topcover notch and crankshaft to body tag. After tightening , checked all valves on #4 free from camshaft (#4=TDC). Looked good , turned crankshaft around , no stops.

2019年5月4日 · Firstly, has anyone got a suzuki G16b running on a megasquirt , the version that have the crank and cam sensors and run wasted spark ? A G16b is a 4 cyl inline engine 1600cc . My only experience is with a MS1 ecu running on my old 4wd and that was another suzuki engine , G13b that I put a later model optical sensor on the cam and ran subaru ...

If there is pressure as the crankshaft sprocket key approaches the mark on the block then you are on the compression stroke and TDC is when the key and the guide mark are together. Use the same socket to turn the camshaft until the appropriate marks are lined up.

Setting Valve lash, on the 16 valve Suzuki SideKick. G16B ONLY ! or Tracker ! All Torque's here, are for 96 , 1.6L SOHC 16valve motor; See Cam below?, set the lash on the heels , never on the lobe sides. (the rockers are missing for clarity!) The heel is perfect simi circle and lash does not vary here. (cam not wrecked, sure)

2009年1月8日 · First off, never turn the engine counter clockwise (when looking at it from the front). Second, find TDC of #1....both the intake and exhaust valves on the #1 cylinder will be loose (or should be, unless they are adjusted waaaaay too tight). Third, with #1 at TDC, adjust #1 intake and exhaust valves, #2 intake valves, and #3 exhaust valves.
