However the esp sensor can either be located on the aluminium abs block, screwed in on the side, or on the brake booster vacuum line that runs from the brake booster to rain tray grommet. Thanks.

2009年9月29日 · That sensor is located in the steering column and it detects the acceleration of the car (on two axes) and compares it with the direction the car is moving and the direction the car SHOULD be moving to determine if the ESP system should be engaged. It's a sensor package of three accelerometers (I think), so I'm thinking it's not cheap to replace.

2013年8月7日 · First fault is caused by the second. Look under the heading no signal/communication. Had a similar problem with my Jag which led to me cleaning and then replacing all sensors and wiring looms. 48hr turnaround and all now works as it should, cost was £99 plus £8 for a next day courier return.

2024年8月30日 · 00493 - ESP sensor unit - (G419) - defective Unable to find a new part at a reasonable price, I order a used one and replace. I remove the faults in VCDS. The ESP switch works again. And here is my current problem: VCDS no longer gives me a fault linked to the ABS / ESP problem, but I still have the 2 ABS and Brake lights flashing!
