The BMW 2 Series (G42) is the second generation of the BMW 2 Series subcompact executive coupé, the successor in 2021 to the F22 2 Series coupé and convertible. The G42 is the first BMW vehicle designed by BMW of Mexico, and is produced in BMW's plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico since 2 September 2021.

The BMW 230i was a variant of the G42 2 Series that was introduced for the 2022 model year. The 230i was offered as a two door coupe and was powered by BMW's B48O1ZIK engine. This turbocharged 2.0L inline four engine generated 241hp, which it sent to the rear wheels through a 8 speed automatic transmission.

2024年12月17日 · I got this exhaust for my 230 after a lot of research, its by DCE parts, they also go by PSR parts. The exhaust is valved and has no mid-pipe resonators/mufflers. i think it sounds pretty good. In total with the carbon tips included it was about $3k.

2022年1月15日 · Tuning the G42 via flash IS possible, however the situation is unique. And as of right now, requires their software (1200$ for the self tune license)for the flash with a standard cable, same as any other software. I've heard rumor of another company that will shortly be able to flash once it's unlocked.
