The original logo of the G77 was designed for the first time on the occasion of the Group’s First Ministerial meeting which was held from 10 to 25 October 1967 in Algiers, Algeria. Other logos were designed on the occasion of summits ministerial meetings, high-level conferences and other commemorative meetings.

The Group of 77 (G77) at the United Nations (UN) is a coalition of developing countries, designed to promote its members' collective economic interests and create an enhanced joint negotiating capacity in the United Nations. [1][2]: 79 The group consists of a diverse set of states with a common South-South ideology. [3]
