The M3 is also far more capable on track for a multitude of reasons, including stiffer suspension, the inclusion of an M differential, beefier brakes, 10-stage traction control, programmable gearbox maps, and a host of other goodies.

Would a tuned M340i be able to manage the performance gap between these two cars? I’ve heard a lot about how the M cars and the M lite having a noticeable gap in performance, like the M3 has more sporty suspension and other improvements over the M lite.
