The unit is actually a leaser, GSCX 7357, painted in a blue with white stripes scheme for then-owner GATX. This unit was built as Milwaukee Road #191, and later became SOO 6357. During its time at GATX it was renumbered to 7357.

All was well until legal entered and pulled the car we intended to swap. If the issue was simply a matter of reporting marks, my argument that the shortline would put their marks on the car should have sufficed.
