2020年11月12日 · In terms of the build quality, it is much better than my previous ThinkPad 13, and while it has taken less abuse (the ThinkPad 13 was my first laptop after all) the E490 definitely is a step up, even if it is the least durable of the current ThinkPad line. it has been dropped on concrete more than once, and I doubt you could tell.

2021年2月22日 · I use a decently specced X1 Carbon 6th gen. for work, and while I like the display on that laptop a lot I think I actually prefer the E490, at least for my uses. The Carbon offers amazing colors, significantly more brightness, and nearly limitless viewing angles, but the E490 feels warm and easy on the eyes.

2021年10月8日 · I've had my thinkpad E490 i5-8265u for about 2 years now. I'm fairly positive that I had TPM on my device. At that time I didn't give it much thought and simple carried on using my device. I set lenovo vantage for automatic firmware updates and I've updated the bios a couple of times. I installed windows updates semi regularly.

2024年4月20日 · Pre-pandemic I got an E490 laptop. Yes it's old and outdated, but its primary role is to connect to a remote machine at work, so it doesn't matter. Ever since I got it I had a problem: if I just close the lid to put the computer to sleep, it will randomly not wake up.

2019年2月12日 · Bro I'm typing you this message from my E490. The keyboard quality is orgasmic. Super solid experience as much as the whole typing deck. The cover lid is made totally of metal, while the plastic surface I'm resting my palms doesn't feel plasticky at all. It feels like it is been renforced with premium materials.
