I have a GFR of 20. | Kidney Failure and CKD | Forums - Patient
2016年2月17日 · I am a 53 year old male and in fairly decent health. I follow a renal diet and have quit smoking 3 months ago. My nephrologist told me that he will see me in three months and if my GFR is 20 or lower he will make arrangements to have a fistula put in my arm for dialysis. Is it even possible to reverse my GFR and go back to Stage 3?

2023年1月16日 · Reporting and interpreting GFR values: Clinical laboratories should report eGFR either as a whole number if it is 90 ml/min/1.73 m 2 or less, or as 'greater than 90 ml/min/1.73 m 2 '. If eGFR is greater than 90 ml/min/1.73 m 2, use an increase in serum creatinine concentration of more than 20% to infer significant reduction in kidney function.

My gfr is down from 83 to 45 in six months - Patient
2017年7月3日 · That does sound unusual. GFR can fluctuate so you take those numbers with a grain of salt, but a fluctuation of 83 to 45 does not sound like something that could be explained away by standard deviation. Have you been referred to a nephrologist yet? If not, that should be your next step. You should get diagnosed. I hope that helps.

GFR falling, creatanine rising, I'm panicking!
2017年6月16日 · It was >90 in Feb 2016. The next test in Oct 2016 was 88. Then this year in Jan it was 75, then a little up in March at 77. Now, in June, it's down to 68. Creatinine has risen from 57 in Feb 16, to 81 now in June. With a GFR drop of 9 in just 10 weeks, I am worried that my next test will go below 60. The total drop is 22 in 18 months.
GFR too low for my age? | Kidney Problems | Forums - Patient
I'm 19 years old and my GFR is 82. The test said anything above 50 is considered normal, but I looked it up and thats not what im seeing on other websites. It seems that for those between the ages of 20-29 your GFR is ideally 116ish, and GFRs of 80 should not be reached till your in your 60's. is mine so low for my age?
