I'm 19 years old and my GFR is 82. The test said anything above 50 is considered normal, but I looked it up and thats not what im seeing on other websites. It seems that for those between the ages of 20-29 your GFR is ideally 116ish, and GFRs of 80 should not be reached till your in your 60's. is mine so low for my age?

2014年11月5日 · Similar boat here too Tim. I'm not quite as young, I'm 48, but had low gfr reported during recent ER visit. It went down to 57. After that incident I went and checked my bloodwork from past couple of years and it was 68 the first year and then dipped down to 65 the following year or so.

In those 5 days my GFR went from 113 to 70, BUN (which was low at 7 in October, and 9 in January) went from 13 to 20 in 5 days. Creatine has been steady at .6 since October and is now at .9. I have full body muscle atrophy (due to the infections) and also do not eat a ton of meat so those numbers going up do not make sense.
