2012年9月4日 · As for the 500 mods which do you care about. Any mod done to a gl500 body and frame can be done to a gl650. The 650 can take the mikunis, 18 inch wheels might just need a wheel bearing and insert change, Gl650 already has the electric mod done by honda. You don't have to do the 650 clutch mod because it already has it.

2014年5月18日 · I used the YSS web site to find a shock with; 1) the right ETE length, 2) the right end fittings, rebound damping adjustability, and 4) a similar weight to the GL650 that I was going to end up with. The best looking option was a early 90's Yamaha FJ1200 rear shock.

2012年4月1日 · The 2 GL650 shocks I own are different, being 11 3/8' and 11 5/8' C to C, so there must have been some variance when they were manufactured. 11 1/2" is right in the middle and should work perfect. I purchased a Yamaha shock wrench to adjust the preload...the dinky little one that came in my Honda toolkit doesn't hack it.
