2011年3月3日 · After following the Service Manual diagnostic P0446 and determining that the EVAP canister vent valve is the cause of the SES light, replace the existing EVAP canister vent solenoid and bracket. This new vent solenoid has an enhanced filtering capability and a filter element that can be easily removed and cleaned.

At that time, replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor, vapor canister, vc purge solenoid valve (per TSB), gas cap, & intake manifold gaskets. All codes cleared, except for p0446. Scanner indicated 2 codes, p0446 & p0446 pending.

It is throwing a P0446 code, and after going through forums and fixes online, it seems like my best bet is to start with blowing out/replacing the evap vent valve. I have also read that someone had this same code on their avalanche and it ended up being a fuel pressure sensor.

2016年5月24日 · I've got a 2001 Silverado 1500 with the 4.8 V8. The truck has 84,000 miles on it and has the P0446 code and P0446 pending code. I did some research and replaced the vent solenoid thing between the cab and bed. The light came back on two days later. I decided to replace the gas cap, and the light came on again. I'm not sure what to do now.
