2005年7月25日 · I just recently caught my first pike (500 miles from home), and would love to be able to find some closer to home. Are they plentiful enough to actually target in the upper GMR, or is it just a matter of accidentally catching one while smallmouth fishing? If anyone has any pike holes I would LOVE to join you sometime on the river!

2010年9月28日 · GMR: Rte 41 in troy, put in, take out at Tipp-Elizabeth Rd in Tipp City. There is a boat ramp in a park at takeout point. There is also a launch point a little bit up from Rte 41 at the golf course, u can get closer to water there. This should be a six hour trip, but with the water being low might take some work.

2021年9月23日 · I have finally got the opportunity to do a stretch of the GMR I have wanted to float my entire life. Growing up in Southwest Ohio the GMR was my favorite place to wade fish. Now that I have a small kayak I can reach those places that were just out of reach from shore. The smallmouth are putting on the feed bags for winter and it is apparent.

2010年10月10日 · only a canoe/kayak would be suitable to launch there, and you need a daily park pass as well to use the ramp. Best bet is Tanners Creek and come up river to the mouth of the GMR , you can easily traverse about 1 mile up the GMR before you get real shallow and that is just before the Shawnee ramp area.
