It's probably the use of the warp knit that gives it the lighter weight. Speaking of aesthetics, I prefer the Cross Trainers. The Ballistic Trainers gives me a more dad shoe vibe.

2023年11月14日 · The ballistic trainers would work for everything but you may find some discomfort on longer OTF tread distance days. In the end it probably comes down to preference do you want to take your shoes off for the squats with the runners to have a more stable base or are you okay with a flat running shoe in the trainers.

2020年11月9日 · I'm sure this is a good trainer. I must vent for a minute about the marketing materials GORUCK emailed today. They talk about how "zero drop" is unhealthy and will only lead to injuries, which is total garbage. I'm not saying zero drop is for everyone or that these Ballistic Trainers in +8MM are bad, but GORUCK doesn't leave room for any gray area.

I think the order from the creator for events was: MACV-1 I/O Cross Trainers Ballistic Trainers From using them I really like the Ballistic Trainers but I'd still go with the MACV-1 boots for traditional events.

2020年11月10日 · I've worn Metcon 2 and Metcon 4 during those years and have always been happy. I can say that the Ballistic Trainers are easily on par with the Metcons I've worn. It feels super stable when lifting and does great with everything else I've used it for in the gym. I think it is the best V1 of any shoe GORUCK has ever released.

2022年8月25日 · I just ordered a pair of Ballistic Trainer Mids on close-out, I usually wear a11.5-12 in most shoes and according to reviews on this I went with the 11.5 because reviews mentioned the ballistic-mesh will stretch slightly. It does have good room for foot-splay especially when Rucking so this is by design!

2022年12月22日 · I have the high-top ballistic trainers and cannot ruck in them. The heel cup gives me deep, awful blisters, despite my “working” the plastic of the heel cup to try and soften it (GR customer service suggested and even sent a video of what to do). Disappointed, but just won’t buy shoes from GR anymore.

2022年7月27日 · I’m assuming you’re using them in the gym and not for rucking. I would just try on different trainers and find a pair that works for your feet. Nanos, NoBull, or Metcons are a good start. Or get shoes actually designed for specific tasks. For example, I lift in actual lifting shoes and ruck/run in ASICS or Brooks running shoes.
