Ground Penetrating Radar Antennas - GSSI
With nearly five decades of experience, GSSI continues to design and manufacture the world’s best Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) antennas. GSSI antennas feature the highest signal-to-noise ratio of any antenna available in the industry, providing the highest quality data with clear and accurate results.
A Review of Various Antenna Design Methods for Ground Penetrating Radar
Compact in size, wide bandwidth, and high gain are the antenna parameters to be considered for best penetration quality in GPR applications. Among the many existing antennae for these applications, a comparative study on five different design techniques is presented.
2018年12月30日 · Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Antenna Design: A Comparative Study Karthikeyan. R, Chandramouli. A, G. Srivatsun Abstract: A detailed study on Ultra-wideband (UWB) antennae equipped Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) applications is done. High gain and wide bandwidth are the two antenna parameters to be considered for deep penetration in GPR ...
GPR Antennas - GPR Training Courses
GPR Antennas Come in Different Frequencies. All GPR antennas are considered safe around humans. In fact, a cell phone has 50 to 1000 times more output than GPR. With that said, when someone asks whether GPR is safe, a common response is that, “If it’s safe to use a cellphone here, it is safe to use GPR.”
With nearly four decades experience, GSSI continues to design and manufacture the world’s best Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) antennas. GSSI antennas feature the highest signal-to-noise ratio of any antenna available in the industry, providing the highest quality data with clear and accurate results.

Antennas for GPR Systems - SpringerLink
2015年1月1日 · Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) provides high-resolution images of subsurface and structures through wide-band electromagnetic waves. It operates in a wide range of frequencies, from 10 MHz to 5 GHz for impulse systems and from 1 to 8 GHz for stepped-frequency systems.
Choosing the Right Antenna for GPR Investigations
2019年6月11日 · Antennas used with ground penetrating radar (GPR) come in different shapes and sizes. The largest antennas typically radiate the lower frequencies necessary to detect the deepest targets. The smallest antennas radiate the highest frequencies that provide the greatest resolution required to detect small, shallow targets.
Abstract— This paper presents the research work in which we have designed bow-tie antenna for ground penetrating radar (GPR) system which is having high performance and wide bandwidth. Our aim is to use the antenna for extraction of agricultural soil characteristics.
In this paper a concept of adaptive antennas for ground penetrating radar is introduced. It is demonstrated that antenna adaptation with respect to the antenna feed-point reflection can be achieved for different ground types. This adaptation can be realized using a wire bow-tie antenna with variable flare angle.
