2022年9月12日 · 1)weak maths = go for GRE cos in gmat the quants level is a bit tougher 2)verbal :- GRE is bit more intense on vocabulary (so I guess you need a bit of good memory power here ) but gmat verbal is more logical . Some say the GRE eng is a bit tougher than the GMAT one but for a non native speaker it'll be equally tough lol

2022年3月22日 · I personally decided to switch from GMAT to GRE because as a native English speaker I was having a real hard time on the GMAT Verbal with all the grammar rules. It frustrated me to no end. Learning a lot of vocab words isn't a ton of fun but it's a lot easier to brute-force than learning all the idiosyncrasies of the GMAT grammar problems.

2024年5月9日 · That said, I took a GRE a few years ago (when sending in a last minute application to a non-MBA grad program) and got a 321 (160Q, 161V, 5 essay) after a week of studying. I believe I could significantly improve upon that score if given time to study. Given the relative percentiles of those baselines, should I switch to the GRE over the GMAT?

2024年4月8日 · Hey everyone! I wrote cold mocks of the GMAT and GRE exam. Felt a major time constraint while writing both tests. In the GMAT I was only able to answer 14/21 of the quant questions and 16/21 of the verbal questions (marked random options after). Further, I was able to solve quant question #2 and #8 (the ones I took more time on) after the test.

For example, for the GRE, I downloaded a list of words that I unconsciously memorized over 1 month period, and that had a substantial impact on raising my verbal component and overall score (est. 4-7 points impact on GRE verbal).

GRE focuses more on vocabulary whereas GMAT includes a section on Data Insights, which includes questions related to Data sufficiency, Graphics interpretation and Table Analysis. The knowledge and skills you develop while preparing for either test (e.g., vocabulary, data analysis) can be beneficial in academic and professional settings.

2024年3月12日 · I've taken both and they're pretty similar in terms of difficulty, but I think I did better on the GRE's math sections. I think the GMAT attracts more business/finance people who have good math skills so it takes a really good score to be in the top 30% of the GMAT quantitative section. Plus the GRE is more flexible so I'd probably recommend that.
