The GeForce 9 series (also known as the GeForce 9000 series) is the ninth generation of Nvidia 's GeForce line of graphics processing units, the first of which was released on February 21, 2008.

The GeForce 9800 GT was a mid-range graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on July 21st, 2008. Built on the 65 nm process, and based on the G92 graphics processor, in its G92-270-A2 variant, the card supports DirectX 11.1.
