2001年1月7日 · I was wondering if the GT1749V with manifold as meant for the PD115 TDI is a bolt on to an ALH TDI? Same housing, just bigger wheels. Should said turbo be bolted on (and a larger intercooler attached) would this provide any improvement over the stock GT1746 when fueling is via PP520s and an 11MM pump.

2022年3月22日 · As i said in a post before, the AHH was a 90 Bhp engine, it ran a gt1749v turbo, had a 2.5 bar map sensor and also 11mm pump as standard. Small nozzles and restrictive tune to try and pass euro 3 norm.

2008年11月2日 · The turbo is a GT1749V (not sure about the A, but possibly). No tuning box, a custom remap (chip) carried out by VAG tuning specialists on a dyno. Running BP Ultimate diesel fuel, no additional additives. Sadly I'm out of ideas, and can really only think it is the remap / chip, or the exhaust gases are too high for the turbine to cope with.

2015年11月6日 · The GT1749V on BKD is basically a GT1749VA, so it has the same small turbine as the GT1749V from 90-115hp engine. 56mm compressor is to big even when used with a GT1749VB base turbo from 150hp engine with bigger turbine. As been said, you can easily max out the V/VA turbine even with 49mm compressor. Going 56mm is pointless.

2004年2月28日 · david, from talk with jeff on my vnt turbo issues it looks like the va model is indeed faster spool up. the only problem is the intake wheel is not ment to go over a set psi range. 18+ The VB is designed to support higher boost levels. this is great info btw. now all we need to do is post vnt 20 info in this post and what a great turbo info page!

2004年4月18日 · GT1749V is just a later revision of the VNT15. Early ALHs would have come with a turbo that actually said "VNT15" on their identification tag. 2001-2003 ALHs will have the GT1749V from the factory. It's still what most of us would consider calling a VNT15. GT1749VB is the actual ARL code VNT17.

2009年5月7日 · Please, like always in such discussions, dont forget the rev numbers according to max. safe boost level. With the stock VB you can make 1.85bar (27PSI) up to about 3500revs without exceeding the flow capability of compressor.
