2008年4月1日 · On AWD/AWW/AWP engines the N249 valve has three connections : One going to the DV, one to the intake manifold for reference, and one to the vacuum reservoir (And the electrical connection of course.) I don't understand why your N249 is tied in to the charge pipe before the throttle body?

2004年3月2日 · The N249 valve is a solenoid, and is a different piece alltogether,.....but it is connected to the DV via a vac./boost hose. The DV and N249 are two different parts, on different sides of the engine.

2010年8月14日 · The N249 is used by the ECU to dump boost through your DV when it senses an overboost situation coming or is in effect. The main reason in bypassing the N249 is to prevent this from happening, Since most the people in this forum are running elevated boost levels and want more boost/power taking this control away from the computer is a good thing.

I want to lose the engine cover and paint the valve cover and would like to either delete or relocate the n249. My question is should I delete the n249 or just relocate it to somewhere else in the engine bay.

2020年1月9日 · Starter motor went, changed it over and replaced the battery and all hell broke loose. Engine management light on and some codes. Engine starts fine and ticks over fine, but won't rev past 4000 and from 2500 revs it just misfires. IMPORTANT: before changing the battery the car ran well with full boost.
