Grand Trunk Western 5629 was a 4-6-2 K-4-a steam locomotive, which was a copy of the United States Railroad Administration 's (USRA) Light Pacific design, built by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) in 1924, for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad.

Richard Jensen’s Ex-GTW 4-6-2 #5629 is one of Railroad Preservation’s bigger tragedies that definitely Did Not stay “Ahead Of The Torch”. It’s been documented over the years many times in the rail fan media and community.

As I was arriving in Chicago on the Broadway Limited just before the Amtrak shops and Union Station sat 5629 - an ex-Grand Trunk Western 4-6-2 and a PRR tender to the left. I didn't know anything about the engine at the time but later learned this was one of several engines Richard Jensen had purchased in the late 50's for excursion service.
