The Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company (reporting mark GTW) was an American subsidiary of the Grand Trunk Railway, later of the Canadian National Railway (reporting mark CN) operating in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

Grand Trunk Western 1951 is the last RS1 type locomotive built for an American customer. The RS1 was a pioneering diesel freight locomotive known as a “road switcher” and more than 450 were built between 1941 and 1960. COMPARE ME WITH: Nekoosa Paper 14, an S1 switcher built ten years earlier.
