Hello all, Firstly specs: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz) 4GB DDR2 RAM (400MHz 5-5-5-18) AB9/AB9RPO motherboard ANTEC 550W PSU Running Windows XP Pro 32-bit SP3 I'm not running a hard-core gaming rig here, but I have picked up my Gigabyte GTX 460 SE card recently and had mixed results and several issues.

More like the death throes of the card is causing more problems. - A 750ti would be a good replacement card though, and will deliver a decent performance boost over your 460. It uses a good deal less power than a 460 too, so no worries about the psu (960 uses a bit less power than the 460 as well).

If that happened, I didn't do it on purpose. But the program accurately says that it is a GTX 460 SE but then also says that my PC doesn't meet the requirements because the card has to be 400 level or higher, but maybe that's what you mean about the BIOS update? It does use a mini-HDMI port though, so it is an oddball in that way.

I've been using a GTS 250. I tried installing a new GTX 460 SE, but the BIOS signaled that it couldn't recognize a VGA card. I tested the GTX 460 in a friend's machine and it worked (His machine a couple years older than mine). I suspect the motherboard's chipset, but I'm not savvy enough to know this stuff. Anyone have ideas?
