If you don't want to purchase Guild Wars 2 right away, you can play the entire core version of the game entirely for free. The caveat is that free accounts come with restrictions on certain features that could be used to disrupt the game experience of other users.

2022年8月23日 · To answer your edit, f2p players have access to core classes only, no elite specializations (you can play necromancer, but can't use the reaper, scourge, or harbinger specializations). You can access dungeons. There are no hard requirements other than level. Players may ask you to be level 80, but specific roles are not required.

The wiki has a pretty complete list of limitations, but to summarize: PvP unlocked at level 3. SPvP unlocks at level 22. Limited character slots. No daily login rewards. PvP lobby chat is unlocked at PvP rank 20.

2023年4月6日 · With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of the base game up to level 80 for free with no restrictions on playtime. It is pretty unfun having to walk evrywhere (you dont get mounts) and you have very limited inventory. Just generally you are very limited at evrything.

2024年12月16日 · PvP in Guild Wars 2 temporarily scales every character up to level 80 and unlocks every build option available to the account. So, you still won't have access to elite specializations and some gearing options, but there are viable build options for free accounts, they just won't be the most competitive.

2022年8月23日 · Guild Wars 2 has two main selling points for me, where it is better than any other MMO I have ever played (and I played many). It's open world and it's combat/buildcraft system. The rest is either subpar or equal when compared to other MMO's.

2020年4月30日 · any recommendations on / Is there any F2P class that's very survivable and interactive? Piano playing your keyboard while having some sustain? Sounds like a kit engineer to me. Best option for survivablity either necro or ranger. But if you want a good damage to sustainability ratio, core warrior is probably the best. Power damage with axe/axe.
