2024年3月1日 · Herein, we study the structure of γ-Al 2 O 3 with scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and ab-initio calculations and show that the structure can be interpreted as a domain microstructure of defective spinel interconnected via non-spinel segments that form the basis of antiphase boundaries (APBs).

TEM images and XRD patterns of γ-Al2O3 and Al2O3–NS are shown in Figure S1 and S2, respectively. γ-Al2O3 shows irregular aggregates of nanocrystals, and Al2O3–NS shows a long thin sheet morphology as the amorphous phase similar to previous reports.
