Guo Pei (Chinese: 郭培; pinyin: Guō Péi, Mandarin pronunciation: [ku̯ó pʰěɪ̯], born 1967) is a Chinese fashion designer. She is best known for designing dresses for Chinese celebrities, and in America for Rihanna's trailing yellow gown at the 2015 Met Gala.

Gao Pei (died 213) was a military general serving under Liu Zhang, ruler of Yi Province (present-day Sichuan and Chongqing), during the Three Kingdoms period of China. Little is known of Gao Pei, except that he was assigned along with Yang Huai to guard Baishui Pass (白水關) from Zhang Lu in case he was to attack.

Guo Pei is China’s most renowned couturier. For over 20 years, she has been dressing celebrities, distinguished ladies, royalty and political elite who turn to her for show-stopping, magnificent creations when they want to look beautiful and stand out from the crowd.

Before joining Yale-NUS College, Dr Pei Gao was an Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University (NYU) Shanghai and Global Network Assistant Professor at NYU. She holds a Master of Science and PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
