2024年10月23日 · In Garda Town you have a slightly better connection by ferry, from Bardolino it is a bit shorter to Verona. You can walk a lakeside path between this towns. If you are looking for self-catering have a close look where the appartement/holiday home lies. It should not be too far away from the center.

For what its worth, my preference is Bardolino. Both towns are very similar but we find that Bardolino has more space, the lakeside promenade is wider and less cluttered and the streets in the old town are a the same. The atmosphere in the evenings in Bardolino is buzzing, lively and friendly and the sunsets are amazing.

Both are very similar, but personally we always visit Garda but prefer to stay in Bardolino. Its a lovely town, with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars and a lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere especially in the evenings.

2024年10月23日 · They are both lovely towns but Garda is better for public transport. Not all the fast ferries call into Bardolino, and from Garda there is a bus to the far north of the lake (Riva and Torbole). From Bardolino you would need to change buses in Garda to reach those towns.

Garda in my opinion has more character than Bardolino although contrary to the last poster, I think Bardolino is quieter. I may also be showing my age but Garda has a lot more shade and public seating. The choice of lakeside restaurants at Garda rivals anywhere around the whole lake and all the boats call there.

However, if you like walking then Bardolino is probably better situated as you can walk by the lake-side path in one direction to Garda and in the other to Lazise which is a very pretty town. 2021年2月11日 · I agree both resorts are fabulous. I stayed in bardolino, and went to Garda a couple of times. Bardolino is my favourite - a few more restaurants/bars and nice central areas. You'll have a fab time no matter where you go.
