Gardyne Castle is a 16th-century tower house in Angus, Scotland. It is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south-west of Friockheim. The castle is still in use as a family home, and is protected as a Category A listed building. [1]

Gardyne Castle is a substantial laird's tower house with its origins in the 16th century. It is on the 65 metre contour line on the edge of a steep, wooded bank to the east. The Mains Farm lies to the west of the castle which is set within garden grounds.

GARDYNE CASTLE, FORFARSHIRE. This is an interesting and peculiar specimen of Scottish architecture. The house stands about one mile south from Guthrie Junction, on the top of the sloping bank of a stream which joins the Lunan Water.
