2015年4月9日 · Are any of your running a Garmin 8212 MFD? I know they're being discontinued (Garmin usually supports for at least 7 years after) and are now at an unbelievable price of $1500 or less! I currently run a 7610xsv and was thinking of adding the MFD because they are fully compatible via Garmin network.

It also has 2 Garmin ethernet ports, slightly slower cpu (that matters mostly when zooming the screen) and less screen resolution but I don't think that matters on a 12" screen. I have a 1242 and its pretty damn good. Screen is actullay slightly larger than the 8612

2006年6月24日 · All my Garmin units came with SD cards. 2gb. I replaced with 32GB cards. I upgraded built-in base maps to Garmin Navionics charts and added US East and South Garmin Navionics Vision+ for the shaded relief. Those charts load to the Active Card card. Only using 8gb. Chart cards don’t need to be left in the unit.
