Has anyone installed the Garmin GPS 175 yet? - Pilots of America
2018年3月11日 · Due to the attractive price of the unit, I am looking seriously at the new Garmin GPS 175. I have attached a pic of my current panel, so you can see what I’m working with. My existing radios work good and I installed ADS-B (SkyBeacon) in Feb, so my plan was to remove the old ADF and have the GPS 175 installed in the stack.

2013年12月29日 · I have a GNC355, which is the same except it has a com radio also. Plays extremely well with foreflight, very easy to share plans either direction with one click on foreflight, and a few clicks on the GPS to accept the plan, even no clicks for changes in the GPS, if you set "auto update" on foreflight, if you change something in the GPS foreflight will get it automatically.
Gps choices. G530w or GTN 650, 750? - Pilots of America
2014年2月7日 · (Have G430 in plane.). Wanting WAAS capability. Has anyone recently added a G530w or a GTN unit lately? What price range are we seeing installed? Would say G530w should be cheapest and therefore way to go, but curious if others feel the extra cost is worth it for GTN unit. Worried about losing support / updates from Garmin in future.

2010年4月9日 · I’m surprised by the GPSS on final note, at least for a GPS approach. If you add a 275, the practical impact of that is likely small. Switch the AP to NAV mode (from HDG) at the FAF, switch the 275 from GPS to NAV1 source (skipping this step for a GPS approach), and you’re golden with a dial change and maybe a button press.

There are other devices, such as the Garmin GNX375, which would have covered all of your bases (I think)... ADSB out, in, transponder, and GPS navigator, but you're looking at close to $8000 plus installation.
Why buy a GNS430 over a GNC355? - Pilots of America

On Ebay, old and used (still in good condition though) Garmin GNS430's are going for $3,500 to roughly $6k and the 430W is around $5200 to $7500. So why would anyone get the old Garmin 430W instead of the new 355?

Thinking about getting a Garmin 496. Worth It?
2019年9月9日 · A portable Garmin navigator is still a consumer device, and yes, they work until they don't. That's pretty much true of any electronic device. I've flown about 2000 hours behind 396s and 496s. I've had two crap out on me in flight, so nothing is perfect. I agree that overheating can be an issue.
