2020年12月31日 · So are Geissele. I like the Geissele dovetail mating of upper and rail. Geissele rails are by far superior, unless you go with DD RIS-II retro. Geissele barrels are unproven and they seem to have problems in production (they don’t produce outside of their very limited run rifles). BCG has a slight edge to Geissele, but nano whatever is hype.

2025年2月20日 · Geissele has done some cool stuff. I'm a huge fan of the SSA-E (which is the only Geissele trigger I have experience with), and I still love the ALG Defense rails. If all my ARs went poof and I had to jump back into the market as it is today . . . I'd probably get a SuperDuty in 16" trim and be happy.

2024年11月9日 · The Geissele Enhanced BCG is definitely quality and built for hard use. There's a shit ton of quality BCG's on the market that work just as well as the Geissele without the price tag. JP BCG's are still the gold standard for precision builds. For my Bolts in 5.56 and 6ARC I've switched to Young Manufacturing HMB bolt kits.

2020年3月5日 · The Geissele consistently shot groups around or under 1.5 MOA out to 500 yards. The trigger was nice, but a lighter second stage would've made shooting small groups even easier if that was the main goal of the rifle.

2025年3月4日 · Geissele gets my vote. I've had the 12.5" of both. Couldn't tell the difference between them for balance. I never shot either for best groups, but the Geissele shot tighter groups with the same ammo when zero'ing. Plus CHF. ETA: I've also not gotten great results with multiple 1/8 barrels and 75/77gr bullets.

2014年4月26日 · I have 2 Geissele SSA triggers in my other ARs (pinned 14.7" light barrel and 18" DD S2W barrel) which I would consider combat weapons. I love them both for their intended purposes. The SSAs would do okay in a precision rifle application but the Timney is too light with too short travel to be considered for combat application.

2020年5月30日 · Except for KAC the Geissele duper duty is ahead in features and advanced materials. The barrel is CHF'd from advanced materials. The Super42 spring system is supposedly an improvement over the mil spec. Geissele produces his shit in house and most others assemble their shit in house after buying parts from oem contract machine shops.

2024年3月24日 · My guess is Geissele is going with a longer throat to enhance reliability in their C/L barrels. One unintended side effect of a longer throat is a slightly lower velocity. Hornady 6mm ARC ammo velocity tends to vary lot to lot by quite a bit more than I would have imagined.

2022年4月23日 · Geissele has returned to finishing their barrels with a phosphate finish, instead of a black oxide finish. The 16” Geissele barrel has a stripped weight of 1 pound, 12.0 ounces. This is the same weight as a stripped Colt 16” government profile barrel.
