The DefTech AV8 Gempita (Thunder) is an amphibious multirole armoured vehicle developed by Malaysian defence company DefTech with the assistance of Turkey defence company FNSS. The Gempita resembles some of the Turkey FNSS Pars design and technology.

The Malaysian DefTech AV8 Gempita combat vehicle is powered by a 550 hp Deutz diesel engine and has a power-to-weight ratio between 18.3 HP/ton and 19.6 HP/ton. Gempita 8x8 uses an independent air suspension system and has an operational range of 700 km (430 mi).
