The Nissan GT-R (Gran Turismo–Racing; model code: R35; Japanese: 日産・GT-R; Nissan GT-R) is a series of cars built by Japanese marque Nissan since 2007 to 2025. It has a 2+2 seating layout and is considered both a sports car and a grand tourer .

As a result of the first generation GT-R being tremendously successful on the racetrack (winning 52 races in its first three years), Nissan decided to make a sequel. The 1973 C110 Nissan Skyline GT-R, often known as the 'Kenmeri' variant, was the followup.

The second-generation GT-R, known as KPGC110, emerged in 1973 as a coupe. However, it is important to note here that only 197 units were produced during that time. The S20 engine persisted and the GT-R became affectionately known as ‘Ken & Mary’ after a couple was featured in its advertising campaign.
