2019年10月24日 · I have an install with 2 Generac Smart Management Modules to lockout 2 EV chargers. They are setup to lockout the load when on generator. The manual has an insert that updates the behavior to lockout when the generator gets overloaded. They don't seem to lockout in either of these cases.

2018年4月11日 · Looking for some help with Generac load shedding modules. I installed two smm modules on an 11k propane Generac generator. One for a water heater and the other for hot tub. I have them set to shed load during generator power. Neither of them appear to sense that the service switched to gen set.

2015年8月19日 · The module is now sold separately and is called the Smart Management Module, or SMM for short. The Smart Switch is still available with the 20kW as a package but only with the new Synergy type standby generator that has the variable speed engine. I bought the SMM and installed it and it wasn't too much of a pita.

2012年9月10日 · After reading another thread on generac about shedding loads I have a question. I have only done one 20 kw Generac and was not required to do a load calculation or shed loads. After reading the instructions online I believe I understand the AC loads.

2012年9月8日 · This is about one of those switches. A customer bought a generac generator with one of these 200 amp smart switches. The generator has a 100 amp breaker installed. My question is this. What size wire should feed the house panel out of the transfer switch? 200 amp to match the transfer switch or 100 amp to match the breaker at the generator?

2022年3月24日 · I have installed the Generac sourced ones in a pair of customers heat pumps a couple of years back. We haven't had much for outages of late, so I doubt there's been much actual usage while running on the generator. Using the load shed modules in addition to keep them staggered time wise for start up might not hurt either.

2022年3月24日 · Generac Assy Smart AC Module 10000004183 the only problem is Generac changes the parts and has so many different parts that you will be challenged to even get the right manual for the right module. I have never done shedding with a Generac and would not be involved with even the generator.
